Why become a member of Minnesota NAHRO?

As a member of Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), you join the state's leading affordable housing and community development organization.  For over 50 years, we have served the state's housing and community development needs.

Minnesota NAHRO offers members an opportunity to sharpen skills and broaden education, discover a network of knowledge and experience, become a leader in the field and make a difference. 2017 Membership Rates & What to Expect in 2017  

Minnesota NAHRO did not change the rates for 2017 and makes every effort to keep dues as low as possible while continuing to provide quality member services and resources. For 2017, Minnesota NAHRO is working hard to offer new and continuing member benefits including:

  • Lead effort to secure state and federal funding for affordable housing including $100 million in bonds for housing
  • Lead effort to secure housing bonds to fund senior housing development
  • Continue to provide quality training opportunities at conferences and events
  • Serve as a catalyst for our members so they can provide feedback on program and administrative concerns with key agencies
  • Keep our members informed by providing timely updates and opportunities for members to connect with decision makers
     

The Value of Membership - 2016 Highlights

Professional Development

  • Held two conferences, each which brought together hundreds of industry professionals from across the state
  • Held Leadership Retreat in Chaska, Minnesota and offered HCV Specialist training in Eagan, Minnesota
  • Increased representation on National NAHRO committees and at National Conferences

State & Federal Policy

  • Introduced legislation to secure housing bonds for affordable housing for seniors
  • Monitored & represented our members on a wide array of policy issues introduced at the state capitol including landlord/tenant, tax policy, and redevelopment tools

  • Every member receives discounted conference rates (typically 10-15% off) 
  • Provided timely information on issues important to our members including federal & state policy, job postings, funding opportunities and new resources

Scholarship & Recognition
