The partial government shutdown impacts funding for HUD and USDA Rural Development. Now entering its fourth week, the shutdown is the longest in history with no end in sight. Affordable housing programs and the low-income peopple they serve are already being negatively impact. The longer the shutdown continues, the greater its harm will be, and the lowest income people - seniors, people with disabilities, and families with children - will suffer the most.
Minnesota NAHRO will host a conference call on Friday, January 18th at 11am to provide updates on the shutdown and how our members are minimizing the impact on our residents. Use this link to register.
Contact your lawmaker and urge them to end the government shutdown and enact clean, full FY19 spending bills for HUD & USDA. Use this link to send an email each day until the shutdown ends!
